Kerianne Quick’s recent exhibition [A] Portrait of People in Motion told the migration stories of San Diegans citizens through a collection of objects and oral histories. She asked participants to bring in an object that was significant in their lives, which then became a starting point for the individual’s oral history about how they came to San Diego. Quick then translated these objects into clear resin and displayed them along with the oral histories at the New Americans Museum.
